Cyclesport.london and cyclocross.london have lurked in my collection of URL’s for some time and after a good rest from day to day web work, and inspired by getting the Cyclefit London and South East Cyclo Cross Website organised for the 2015/16 season,  I made them both live.

It was stupid idea to read a Velo News feature on the infamous George Hincapie crash as I checked L’Arbre for the Paris Roubaix Sportive (2010 and 2012)

I have been a cycle fan for simply decades and in my time I have been the chair of the London Cycling Campaign, producer of numerous websites such as LondonCycleSport, worked in the cycle trade, a founder member of London Phoenix cycle club, a past member of the now defunct Velo Puzzi and the early ‘green’ London Dynamo’s.

I co-organised the Beastway Mountain Bike Series in London for 19 years, the Crystal Palace Circuits for over a decade and at many other events. I am a committee member of the London and South East Cyclo Cross League. I could also mention that I helped set up the London Women’s Cycle Race Series.

After never being that good with authority I now find myself a regional circuit and track commissaire and similarly the same at a National level for cyclo-cross. And for my sins I am also a member of the British Cycling Cyclo-Cross Commission.

Over the years I have attended hundreds of events such as the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia only to find that I prefer the many local events held in and around London. From my attendance at races I have a number of data storage devices stuffed full of pictures and videos (Road, Track, Cross, MTB etc.). I will post them up slowly but surely. Although Cyclesport.london is somewhat cyclo-cross centric at present that doesn’t mean it will stay that way.

Somehow I have also managed to have a life outside cycling!
